David Drysdale & Sarah Storie 1800-ish Culross, Perthshire

5 David Drysdales born in Culross between 1768 & 81. One of whom, with Sarah Storie, had 6 children from 1803-1812 in Culross. None listed outside of there, so no suggestion of moving area.

I can't see how to pin down Davids parents and I have no wedding (or birth) with Sarah Storie /Stobie/ Story/ Storrie / Storey.
Efforts to find if Storie was her maiden name or from a previous partner came to nil. Nor did I find any Stories in Perthshire around this time.
From daughter Martha's wed cert in Edinburgh, 1843 stating he was deceased and formerly a mason at blairburn, Culross. (Surprisingly detailed for a pre 1855 cert). Giving the impression they never left Culross.
Any suggestions?

Maybe expand the search into Fife as Culross was in Fife until 1891.

If the baptisms of her children give her surname as Storie, that is her maiden surname. No need to consider names of previous husbands in that context.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Stories (and variables) are thin on the ground in a Scotland search. But bountiful in England.
A run through with FreeReg has a lot of weddings for Sarah S in England but none those with a David D.
None of the Scottish Stories have Sarah as a middle name.
No Sarah Drysdale or Storie death in parish or state records on Scotlands People that line up with having kids from 1803.
Although there is a Sarah Storey m Robert Forbes in Kirkcaldy in 1819. Who have twins in dysart in 1820.
Starting to feel like an episode of Outlander.
