Sorry No luck with Charles

however, Victoria BDM have details of Minnies Death in 1948. Maybe her Death Cert may give you more details of Charles

Using National Archives of Australia, I find -

 *  SQUIRE Charles : Service Number - 833 : POB - Hall England
Place of Enlistment - Woomelang VIC : Next of Kin - (Sister) N/A

 * VIC BDM marriage
SQUIRE  Charles    marr.    COULSON Minnie                                      11237 / 1919

 *  On electoral rolls they are Charles SQUIRE and Minnie SQUIRE.

 * Where do you see this man to be named Charles Albert SQUIRE?.

Hi Victoria.
Minnie appears on the Vic electoral roll to 1936 with Charles, a farmer at Shadwell Park Mortlake.

I still have my old Cemetery CDs including Ballarat Old and New which is very detailed in the information contained.

Minnie was an inmate of the Ballarat Mental Hospital at her death on 28/7/1048.

In grave EN. 3.6. At the time of the burial she was the last interred in that grave with Coulson family.
A note says 1M which means room for one more according to the Cemetery's explanatory notes.

I will attach the snip of the burials.
Sue

Hi I had a look on TROVE for Squire   Shadwell park

there is an article in  March 1939 talks about land formerly held by C Squire
https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/22998002?searchTerm=squire%20shadwell%20park

also
https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/1762027?searchTerm=shadwell%20park
sounds like land for Soldier Settlements'

this one Squires   and Mortlake

Under a different spelling -with an S at the end of his surname- Charles enlisted WW2

He has a different wife and lives in Hay NSW.  He is a station hand
Later in the file the last S is crossed off his surname.

Sue

ADDING, his file shows he served in the volunteer defence Cop until discharge in 1945.

The woman named as wife to Charles on his ww2 enlistment was Anita Leslie.
On the electoral Roll, the surname is SQUIRES.

In 1953 Anita Leslie SQUIRES is at Bungle Gully, come by Chance NSW.
this is a remote, isolated area.

I do not see a marriage for this couple.
Nor do I see a electoral registration for Charles. so not oo sure about it.

A woman of the name anita Leslie SQUIRES in 1968 is at East Crescent St, Nth Sydney , a cook.

There is this death

SQUIRES, ANITA
17113/1974
DIED NORTH SYDNEY
073
001

Sue

ADDING.
Sorry I had missed this E. Roll entry

This could be his death on NSW BDM 1947

https://familyhistory.bdm.nsw.gov.au/lifelink/familyhistory/search/result?11
SQUIRES CHARLES 24813/1947 WALTER LOUISE GRENFELL

parents' names appear to be same as on 1901 Census ( if I have the correct Charles)

I think this drills down to DOD 4.12.1947
