Who was Ellen age 5 born circa 1845 on the 1851 census?

Lewis and her mother Ellen married 31 December 1849 St Thomas, Liverpool.

Except for  child named Lewis 1862 all other children were baptised R C at various churches in Liverpool.

For Alfred 1856 his father is named as Ludovici Levine

Have you tried Jewish Gen website

Hi amondg, thank you for all your time and help
I have been looking for Lewis and his parents for years I have found Lewis an Ellen with family in Liverpool, but trying to pin his parents down or a birth for him is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack there just dosent  seem to be any record of them.

on ancestry there are a few trees a Lewis Levine a tailor wife caroline living in Shoreditch but no child Lewis,
another has a Lewis Lavine  greengrocer no wife name but son Lewis who married Ellen Butler but no records about parents so Im guessing they are stuck like me.

I would like to thank every one who has tried to help me I really do appreciate it.
kind regards Sue

Look at the 1841 census for Shoreditch.

There are pages of German Jews listed at the Hospital including Lewis Levine with siblings.

The Jewish faith keep very good records of those displaced as I mentioned before try

https://www.jewishgen.org

Lewis may noy have told the truth on his marriage certificate especially as he married a Catholic girl
who raised the children as R C.
