Lookup Request - Wilkie Gravestones at Ceres Parish Church, Fife
« on: Friday 16 January 26 02:29 GMT (UK) »

Hello, I’m researching my Wilkie family from Ceres and would be very grateful for a lookup in the Ceres Parish Church monumental inscriptions booklet.
I’m looking for any WILKIE gravestones, especially the following individuals:
- Thomas Wilkie (1724–1789) – likely buried at Ceres
- Alexander Wilkie (1749–1833) – son of Thomas
- Margaret Bryce – wife of Thomas
- Agnes Milson/Milison – wife of Alexander
- Any other Wilkie stones from the 1700s–1800s
If anyone has access to the Ceres MI booklet or has photographed the kirkyard, I would really appreciate any inscriptions, stone numbers, or notes.
Thank you very much for any help.

Another useful resource is the Fife burials index which is available on FindMyPast.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

FindMyPast is a subscription site, but many libraries have subscriptions to it where you can access information without a personal subscription.

You can sign up for a free account with FindMyPast and search.  The MI's appear to be transcripts but I understand that register images etc are available by micropayment using the free account.  I have not looked at what is available for the Wilkie family
