What's happened to the Screen Display of FindMyPast?  For the last few days, it has displayed the results of a search with a huge WAVES OF VICTORY header, which only leaves a shallow window below for the results.  When I move the cursor to continue the display, the header doesn't move and the display still scrolls up in the same shallow window.  Am I doing something wrong or ...

You can remove the waves of history by clicking the small x in the top rh corner.

That's odd. Mine was windows 11 desktop. Also appears on my macbook.

Malcolm. Try maximising and then restore the window size, checking carefully.

Thanks, I've tried these suggested solutions, but I'm not back to how FindMyPast used to be.  I might as well cancel my sub.

When that banner first appeared on my laptop screen it was huge and I couldn't find any way to close it down. I suspect there was some kind of glitch, as next time I logged in it was smaller and the little cross had appeared allowing me to close it.
If that still hasn't happened in your case, try logging out and clearing your browser cache and cookies before logging back in. You could also try a different browser.

Ta-da!  The huge Waves of Victory header has been abandoned, and all is working adequately again

What fixed it?

I wish people wouldn't always say delete all your cookies. The people who do that don't understand the importance of cookies and that it might take many hours to reconfigure the various websites that you visit. Cookies contain information relating to how you interact with a website.  Deleting the whole lot can be catastrophic.  You should use a cookie manager to delete the cookies from individual websites.

Trying a second browser is a much better first step.
