Tracing My Great Great Grandfather
« on: Sunday 11 January 26 15:34 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Apologies if I have posted in the wring area but I need some help tracing my great grandfather. All I know is that he had a son called Joseph Garside whose daughter was Doris Garside, my maternal grandmother, born on Jan 17 1916.

Any help in this area much appreciated.

Thank you.

What area are we looking for?

There are 4 people named Doris Garside registered 1916 .

Only one in the March quarter with mother's maiden name Taylor

Thank you I was just wondering if there was any information available on George Joseph’s father as the trail goes cold after this. Thank you.

Who is George Joseph??

You need to track Joseph b 1867 via the 1871 census onwards to get details of his parents

His birth reg is on freebmd - link shown above - GRO online shows his mmn as Woodhead
