Stoneygate - Leicester or Leicestershire Central?

Just that. I'm trying to disentangle family lines and am clutching at straws.

Looking at marriages in the early 1960s and the district info for those 2 reg districts, it looks to me as though Stoneygate is more likely to fall under Leicester than Leicestershire central - does anyone know if that's correct?

Stoneygate, just up the road from us, is very near Oadby which was in the Leicestershire reg district prior to 1974. I would think this might be the district but not 100% sure ( though google AI results seem to support this but I don t trust AI!)

Was it in Oadby civil parish?
