Still just a beginner at this so apologies if I don't give all the right information.
I have a couple of DNA match with whom I'm trying to establish the tree connection.
Both these matches point in the same direction, with the same shared ancestors.
Both lead back to a lady called Elizabeth Ann Hardwick, born 1838 in Leeds. She married a chap called James Waterhouse (b 1839) and they had a child called Clara Novella Waterhouse in 1860.
Ancestry Thru Lines is saying that Elizabeth Hardwick is the daughter of John Dean (b 1809 in Leeds). This John Dean is indeed in my family line so this would absolutely be the connection, but it doesn't make sense. I have Elizabeth's parents and John Dean is not it!
I do possibly have Elizabeth's mother having a first marriage to a James Dean, b 1800, however this Dean does not appear to be connected to my Deans.
Is the Thru Lines thing on ANcestry just a total guess and not worth worrying about or is it worth digging into? Can anyone else help with connecting Elizabeth Hardwick to the Deans of Leeds?
Please let em know if any other info is needed.
