Hello

L.M.
"I went out on a rampage today,  first time out really" ...
I do hope you were not like 'a bull in a china shop'

But I know the principles and values that you hold would not allow you to be like that!

Roobarb,
best to stay in the warm and get those jobs started.

Also been to Cyprus, been to the Valley of the Kings, done the coach trips to the lace place and workshops, also rode down and looked at the base at RAF Akrotiri and rode back. Also to the Border with Turkey and saw the UN Soldiers/Police and Nikosia.

The Hotel was a few miles from Paphos / Pafos and one evening each week they had Greek Musicians and Dancing and one of their Dancers came over and got me up dancing with her (I can't dance in time to music), but she seemed to be smiling and happy.

Also found Aphrodite's Pool (so I thought) lit up amongst bushes and trees, knelt down and cupped some water and drank it, on a hot dark evening (for powers of Eternal Youth) and I saw wet footprints on the paving. Next morning I was put on a table with a couple from Birmingham and the Waiter asked us what we had done the day before and I told him I had drank from the Waters of Eternal Youth and where I found the place and he replied, oh that is Private property and a regular place where the local women and young women go and have sex in the pool. The lady of the couple across the table was trying to hold back laughter as she saw my face change to shock.

Viktoria, watch the ice, it is awfully slippery when it looks wet, but with ice underneath, I nearly when backwards returning from Aldi.

Caroline, I can just picture you making this lovely food for your visitors.

Mare
No Tai Chi yet and cold has cleared as fast as it started, a bit odd, because a neighbour 100 metres away (next door but one) was out at 8am in his back garden again the other day coughing for Britain, in the cold damp air.

I went to Aldi and got those 4 steaks and some more fruit and berries & bits, it was busy and as I was packing my rucksack, I heard one of the other check-outs say, it had been busy and quite mad in there today.

Where is Jeff? I do hope I didn't upset him with my loft ladder reference

All the best, Mark

Thanks for the warnings, Bushinn, I was careful, old ladies’ bones are often brittle and a fracture has many side effects beyond the obvious.

Well we here got off pretty lightly ,cold and frozen but all melted away now.
Hope everyone is alright , I think I will have used up my Winter Fuel allowance ———

Son not back for a few days yet, but other son will call to see if I need anything .
Little girl Lily is starting to get a bit “ cheeky” quite funny when she beams a smile when Mummy says “ a aaa!- no” a big smile and another try !
Then it is very slowly “ L  I  L  Y ——“ she gives up then .
Hope it is that easy when she is 16!

They don’t seem babies very long these days do they .

Well , I have a strange smell in my nose, my Mum had that and it was a sign ,in her case of Angina. No one else could smell anything .

It is not unpleasant and most probably from the eye drops I have to use—
they make my nose run profusely  - but will get a G,P appointment, just for a check.
I have a Carbon Monixide detector , so no worries there but a gas check would be a good idea.

If it is not one thing it is another ——-
Like Iran now!

Hope all are safe and those with problems due to the weather are at least well and warm.

Well curry will be ready to come off the cooker. A light lemony chicken one for the freezer ,then thawed when son is back.

Cheerio - a little tip, if you have any glycerine ,it sorts of generates its own heat, so rub some on your nose and feet and fingers when you go out !
