Name on 1627 baptism COMPLETED
« on: Sunday 04 January 26 16:58 GMT (UK) »
What do you think the forename is of this baptism of the son of William Wainwright in 1627?

I have seen it transcribed as two totally different names and would like to get a better concensus of what the name actually is.

thanks
Wainwright - Yorkshire
Whitney - Herefordshire
Watson -  Northamptonshire
Trant - Yorkshire
Helps - all
Needham - Derbyshire
Waterhouse - Derbyshire
Northing - all

I'd suggest Raphe (= Rafe, or Ralph).

Thank you
That is what I read it as (and hoped it was!) but Ancestry have it transcribed as Thomas!
FamilySearch & FindmyPast have it as Raphe
