My research papers include a note (written about 20 years ago) about a cross in the chancel of Chieveley church but unfortunately, at the time, I did not record much detail.
My note says,
"Henry Blanchard - a cross is located in the chancel of Chieveley church". The note is written next to my transcription of the burial record of Henricus (Henry) Blanchard on 30 Jun 1581.
I am hoping that someone familiar with the church can confirm the existence of this cross and if so, can give a description of it; a photo or other image would be fantastic.
Thank you
