Eccleshall was a sub-district within Stone.  See

Is it this man you are after?

Burial at Eccleshall Holy Trinity 4 April 1838:

William Plant
age: 64
address: Charnes

Age is not an exact match, but there's no other William Plant death registered in Stone district 2nd Q 1838.

his wife Ellen is still living in 1841  in Hanley square  she remarries and is burried in northwood church,  so all i know is he dies before 1841  there is a death in 1833 buried at st johns church where i would have expected but it puts william quite a bit older than ellen.  just saw that other death in stoke on trent and wondered if that was him

Ellen Brant married William Plant in 1803 (Stoke on Trent).  William's occupation a Collier.

I can't see Ellen Plant in Hanley Sq in 1841, how old is she
