You were also interested in possible children of Joseph Higgins and Elizabeth Hulston who married in 1838.

Their first child Margaret Higgins b 1839 and baptised Childs Ercall died the same year and the next child that I can see is

HIGGINS, WILLIAM  HULSTONE   mmn HULSTONE
GRO Ref: 1844  D Qtr in NEWPORT, SALOP & STAFFORDSHIRE  Vol 18  Page 126

William Helston Higgins
Baptism Date    5 Jan 1845 Child's Ercall
Parents Joseph and Elizabeth Higgins

However I think this is Elizabeth and family in 1851 when she was a widow and includes an additional son Joseph living in Church Ercall

Elizabeth Higgins 38 Widow  National School Mistress  b Drayton, Salop
Joseph Higgins  9 b Chetwynd, Salop
William Higgins    4 b Chetwynd, Salop

This looks like the birth reg of Joseph

HIGGENS, JOSEPH  HURKSTONE   mmn HURKSTONE
GRO Ref 1841  D Qtr NEWPORT SALOP & STAFFORDSHIRE  Vol 18  Page 124

And 1841 - Living at Howle Pool, Chetwynd, Newport,

Joseph   Higgins   25   Ag Lab
Elizabeth   Higgins   25

That’s brilliant thank you.

I was hoping there were family descendants somewhere. If the line persisted to now then possibly someone will DNA test, which might confirm that my ancestor Job Hulstone Bannister of Broad Eye was William’s son. Harriet Lees married Isaac Devall Bannister of Broad Eye when 7 months pregnant with Job.  She was 18 when they married. I have plenty of info on them.

The Bannisters, Devalls and Lees families were all in Broad Eye for a number of censuses. Also some were in Broad St and Cherry St. at different times.
