Unknown Mackie in Guernsey, Channel Islands

Hi All,

Have found the following extract in the 1869 St Peter Port Poor Relief Records - can anyone read the crossed out Name age 57 being the Widow of A Mackie ? Their residence is shown as being Pollet Street which had “2” family members.

First is definitely Ellen.
Not sure on the second? Ebellirille?

If she was widow of A MacKie, then isn't the second word MacKie ?

When Guernsey refers to married women, they normally quote their maiden surname, rather than their married surname.

We will have to investigate if this “Ellen” was actually married to A Mackie or whether a mistake was made when she was named in this record.
