« on: Tuesday 30 December 25 16:38 GMT (UK) »
Hi all . I am researching my 6th G Grandfather William de Rouffignac's Naval background . All i know is that he served as a midshipman on the HMS Boreas about 1760 in UK . So if any naval buffs can help with more info here i would be grateful . Thank you .

This might be better moved to the Armed Forces board.

Some guidance....
It all depends (of course) or how long he remained serving - and if he got promotion to Lieutenant from Midshipman.
