Hello All

RTL, I do hope your Grandson makes a good recovery. I am very sorry that you are having great difficulty sleeping and after your mishap on the stairs, you sound very exhausted.

Employers were supposed to care about staff welfare, but I saw very little of it and you really do have my deepest sympathy.

Before covid, I was falling asleep at work and so tired I would lay my head on my arms on my desk and they had me in the Office threatening me with dismissal if I couldn't keep up, but I was exhausted, so I wrote asking for ill-health retirement which was acknowledged by letter.

Their own Occ Health G.P., listened to me and sent me for an M.R.I. brain scan and then they could see from the scans why I had this terrible trouble.

After my scan they said I was incapable and sacked me whilst awaiting the Medical Board Decision of Three Doctors (in breach of their formal Pension procedure Rules).

My Trade Union took them to the Appeal Panel and my employer lost.

Louisa, I hope your husband's eye operation is successful.

Viktoria, I hope all is working as it should and settling nicely.

Yes, Gillg has more sun and milder weather, than Roobarb's chilly coastal location where bracing winds blow in!

Mark

I expect like everyone else these last few days have felt strange, don't think I will get back to normal till Monday.

Frosty morning  but beautiful blue sky and sun, but chilly.

Thank you Cawl, my husband is coming  along  nicely but a bit concerned about 1 eye but it is early days, he has a wonderful carer !!

Hi

My new year wish is for another year of life where I can write, wash and dress myself etc., and continue to be a slight nuisance on Rootschat!

I have managed to find something for Caroline ... so that her husband can find his balls when he is playing in the dark ...

I love those golf balls… I’ll have to suggest it to him, although I’m sure he probably knows..
thanks for giving me a good laugh Mark.. I need one today!

I’m not sure if your new years wish is tongue in cheek or serious though!
 Best wishes

Well Mark, I have said for a long time that I would like to live a long time, annoy everybody and gets as much pension as I can from the chancellor.

Hello you Stalwart Chatters,  :)
Just dropping in briefly to send good wishes for a healthy and happy 2026.
Good luck to you all.
My grateful thanks to those who sent me kind words of encouragement during the previous 12 months.
My recovery is slow but I am grateful I can strive for continued improvement.
I know that many others also face a daily struggle, :'( which situation steadily improves for each I do hope.
My husband drove me to visit a National Trust property near Exeter on Thursday, and I was shocked to see snow drops in flower!! That is early even for us Soft Southerners.
December was largely sodden and stormy hereabouts, though we have had several sunny and dry days recently. It is wonderful when the wind drops.
I am shaking my magic wand at you all, hopefully matters are improving daily.  :-* :-*
