 Stephen. H  Mason. born Birkenhead 1949
  there is a  military death in Paris 1965, wondering if its the same person,
  if so how would you go about finding  any information
   regards Steve.

There is an overseas death reg for 1968 for a Stephen H Mason   Paris age 18.
I can t see one in 1965. I think you can order a certificate from GRO using the reference C147.

According to a tree on Ancestry he died 20.8.1968 in France.  He was Stephen Hambleton Mason.
