Believe he is recorded as Hebar Jackson born 1889 in 1911 Canada census.
Cape Breton South, Nova Scotia, Canada

Married same area following year

Nice one I couldn't find him on the 1911 census that must be where the birth comes from Feb 1889
I did find a possibility in the 1901 census but a different birth date

Any father named on his marriage cert?

The tree on Ancestry has his parents as Thomas Jackson & Annie Maude Pierce.  Be interesting to know where that info came from as there is no marriage for those names & no birth for an Annie Maude Pierce or Pearce

Think the tree on Ancestry has got it wrong  ;) no other information on the parents and like you CaroleW I couldn't see a marriage either
I also couldn't see a Thomas Jackson or Southall with the family on any census records

Softly, thanks for the info from other census'. It is rather confusing as to who is a Jackson or a Southall. I know Hubert had a daughter named Clara.

Sorry no I hadnt finished posting but deleted it.

Hubert did name two sons  John William and Edward Hubert which might indicate you found the right father   :)

Sandra

Note that the death for the son Ralph Carl Jackson is wrong on the ancestry tree, he died 2013 not 2023
