I thought Thorne was an odd place to have a main road named Barnsley Road.  I have found it is a road in what looks like a colliery housing estate at Moorends, which was an entirely new settlement north of Thorne, built to service Thorne Colliery.  Barnsley Road is the curving road on the southeast side.   (The previous edition of this map contains only a few farms.)     https://maps.nls.uk/view/125648373

Askern is also a colliery village (although it has a much earlier history as a spa) so I am guessing where Patrick was probably working, in each place.

It looks very promising that it is the right Patrick.
In 1920, there are three O’Keefes- Frederick, John and Patrick living in Askerne with a Martin Redmond.
There is a Martin Redmond b 1897 to Kate Redmond (Cullen). He would be half brother to Patrick.
