A David Ritchie Orr of 28 Albert Drive, Croshill died aged 52 in 1896. He was an accountant. So, name and timing sits well with the Agnes and sons in 1901 census. Crosshill and Cathcart are adjacent.

The David who died in 1915, was married in the Dunoon area in 1911, to an Isobella Kerr Kernohan. No obvious children in indexes. An Isabella Kerr Orr, maiden name Kernohan, died in Glasgow area in 1973 aged 87.

There is an Ancestry tree called 'Kathleen Ritchie' family tree that might be worth checking (sorry, no Ancestry sub so can only see limited details). It has the David who was married to Isa(o)bella, as

Quote
DAVID RITCHIE Orr 2nd cousin x 3

Another, "Karen Forrest" family tree also looks to have this couple, albeit with Kernochan spelling.
