I have census records for an Albert Edward Croft (B. 1880) and his wife Ada Elizabeth Croft (b. 1881) along with son Bernard Croft (B. 1905). They are found in 1901, 1911 and in 1939 with Ada a widow and Bernard living a few doors away on Fleeson st Manchester. This all looks quite straightforward until I look for a birth for Bernard around 1905: I find a birth with mother Iveson. When I look for a marriage for an Ada Elizabeth Iveson I can only find one to a Bernard Croft, nothing for Albert Croft. Everyone seems to live in the same area of South Manchester, I can find a divorce for Bernard Croft (B.1905 of Fleeson St) in a newspaper article of 1952. There seem to be two marriages one to a Marg Rhodes, another to Doris Burton( possibly bigamous?), finally the divorce in 1951.
Can anyone find a convincing marriage for the Albert – Ada- Bernard Croft family please.
Thanks
Dave
