Thomas Hutchinson Settlement Certificate 1690 to 1720
« on: Wednesday 17 December 25 23:00 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Thomas Hutchinson entered apprenticeship in 1720 and record notes "Of Rotherfield" with no parent details. Does anyone have access to the database and can take a peek to see if there are any records? Thank you.
Hutchinson - Sussex; Underwood - Marylebone; Ensor - Marylebone; Bemmer - Middlesex/Prussia; Groocock - Husbands Bosworth; Hale - Stanstead Abbotss/Brentford; Price - Middlesex;

What database are you referring to?

Have you looked at The Keep?
https://www.thekeep.info/

I see an entry on FindMyPast for 1719 not 1720 is that the one?
Originals at Nationa Archives.
You might have to pay a researcher to look for you,
Unless there is someone in RC going there who is wiling to help.

Looking at some other entries in that data set, where parents are named, I would be inclined to think there is nothing else for Thomas.
. See jonwarms much more useful replies later  :)

There is a Thomas Hutchinson senior buried in Rotherfield 1731

Seems doubtful that you will find anything else.

Thanks. The date is entered incorrectly, it is 1719. He is the only entry that does not have "son of...".

The Thomas of Rotherfield buried 1731 is a different person, mine died in Hooe in 1755. Many trees attribute my Thomas b1705 as the son of Richard Hutchinson but Richard's Will, where he refers to his son Thomas, was signed after my Thomas death.

Thanks for your help. Likely a brick wall.

Just for the record, 10 June 1720 was the date William Austin paid the tax. Thomas Hutchinson's apprenticeship had begun on 7 April 1720.
