I think I can take you a generation or two further back on the Hume Spry & Trant lines

James Hume Spry married Emma Trant (bn 1752 d of William Trant & Catherine Smith)
They had 3 children:
James Hume Spry bpt Mar 1774 West Lavington Wiltshire
Emma Trant Spry bpt June 1775 West Lavington Wiltshire
William Spry bpt Oct 1776 Potterne Wiltshire

Emma Trant Spry married a James Robinson (info from Grandmother's will)-- probably brother to the Frances Robinson who is mother to your Edmund Trant Spry

William Trant was the third of five sons of Gabriel Trant & Mary Withers
