I like that Mark but I must not get ideas above my station to rise myself to a Lady, don't suppose it will happen again, I don't like the self service tills and if I ever I use one for just a few items I have to call for help  or the machine shouts out " something I the bagging area, "  yes, it's me!!, thing is I have never seen anyone  double check what is in the bagging area, they click the machine and off you go again.

Who can believe that this time best week Christmas will be all over.

Take care

Hello Louisa and All

I can use self service most times, but ...

At one Aldi Branch, several times when my shopping went over a certain number of items or weight, the Assistant would have to put her code in and override the weight after every item scanned.

Yes, one week and we will be on the 28th.

Have a nice time and be good all, as I don't want to hear Reports from all over, that you have been dancing on the tables in the various venues at 4am in the morning.

I'm mid-60s but lost some vigour and vitality. Apart from local walks (provided we get a dry day), I'll be at home, trying to keep my health and digestion system from flaring up. Had a few days each week of belly pain, that moves about.

One thing, I'm getting several red marks (blemishes) in my facial skin about once every 5-6 weeks and skin then looks a bit aged, then small bits peel off face, blemishes disappear and then new facial skin about every 6 weeks!

Glad to hear that KGarrard has checked in.

You take care LM and take care all, Mark

My very handy little counter top oven has gone crazy today,I must get a new one asap ,it is really handy , can bake ,grill and keep things warm ,a Russell Hobbs .
Had it a good few years ,microwave on last legs too, just the right time of year!
Don’t want a combination .

Hospital tomorrow, noon, so must be up early ,they often come for me hours prior to the appointment time .
Son is back but will be working and a three way computer conference at mid day, so not available.
Well an early nightI think ,got to Church this morning ,Vicar’s little boy was there ,the same age as Lilly, but rather shy ,understandably, just a little over 12 months but walking well.
Look after yourselves folks . Cheerio.Viktoria.

Bushinn - golf can be as much of a religion as you like but you must have a screw loose to get up at that time in the morning..IN THE WINTER.. and then moan you can’t see the ball off the first tee. 😂😂. In the summer it’s a lovely time to be out..

It’s incredible how electric..(vital) bits of equipment can decide to give up the ghost at the most inappropriate times of the year!
Who are these gremlins that decide to be fine one day then not the next!
I thought my hob had died a death on Friday when I was busy using it and it suddenly stopped 😳😳… but it turned out to be a false alarm..thankfully.

Well all presents wrapped and ready to go to our daughters on Wednesday… except for my OH’s gift to me.. which I bought, folded for him and even found a tag from last year he can resuse!
I might even end up wrapping it as he’ll say he can’t get his head round how to use the fabric wraps I have…
I always thought he was intelligent but I’m beginning to wonder 😂😂..

Well Monday tomorrow and time is closing in so last lot of cooking to do tomorrow and Tuesday…
I quite like the self checkouts as it’s quicker.. and in Waitrose I scan my goods put straight into my bags then no need for more repacking.. I find it suits me.. but understand if people not keen on it.

Take care all

A dry day here with a bit of sun, so the last wash has just been hung out and fresh bedding, towels, etc. will be put out for the celebrations, though I'm not looking forward to the mountain of ironing which will await me later.  The decorations ("understated", my daughter says) look rather nice, I think.  OH is already tucking in to Christmas biscuits and the rather pathetic Q S - too much paper wrapping and too little chocolate.  :o  I am really thinking that I won't buy any next year.  I hear M&S have a good equivalent this year - has anyone tried them?

All the food preparations are finished and we will be eating at my daughter's.  Just need to take my pudding (Grannie's recipe) and accompanying sauces (thanks again, M&S  ;))

Best wishes to you all for a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.  :-*

Got a few spam emails ,purporting to come from BT,son had a look and the logo was missing a full stop and my name was not used ,unlike the usual emails that are unusually familiar, first name etc.
The last saying to contact someone with a very unusual foreign name!
Hospital visit , no real problems , and not a long wait either.

Hair cut on Wednesday —— I won’t like it- almost never do !

Son went to our lovely farm shop and got some turnips ,none in the three supermarkets .
Carrots, turnips and swedes ,all buttery and peppery mmmm.

Got to marzipan the cake, not icing it ——- my teeth are aching thinking of all that sugar ,also mince pies to be made .

Well daughter will phone in a bit, so Cheerio folks, look after yourselves.
Viktoria.
