So…a different wife?

Added..ok, now I see her dying in Australia,

So….why is she said to be a widow in 1871 I wonder.  (Children match)
Error by census taker?

Ah yes I've come across that before. I wondered if her husband Robert leaves for Australia before her and she is on her own when the census comes around?

A tree on Ancestry has

“ On 22 Jul 1871, Robert 60, Ann 51, Isabella 11 and Martha 8 boarded the Colonial Empire ship in Plymouth England for a 95 day voyage to Melbourne Australia to begin their new life.”.
