Hi, I’m looking for what happened to two siblings after 1851. Thomas Harper (b. 1830) and Jane Harper (b. abt 1833).
Their parents are Thomas Harper (miner) and Jane Dixon nee Wardrobe who married at Durham in May 1827. Jane Snr was previously married to Charles Dixon in 1811 at Gateshead (he died in 1817).
Thomas was baptised 10 July 1830 at All Saints, Newcastle. Abode Wide Open.
In 1841 Thomas (11yr) & Jane (8yr) were living with their mother at “Fold” in Earsdon.
By 1851 Thomas (21, coal miner) & Jane (18) were still living at Seghill with their mother, who was on parish relief . Both their birthplaces listed as [Edit: corrected] Longbenton Northumberland. There is no sign of both after this.
Jane Snr died on 1 April 1853 at Seghill, the witness was her son Charles Dixon, from her first marriage.
Thank you
