1901 census records Woodford in his parents home. As a matter of interest who does the 18month old grandchild belong to.

SS

I've been chasing that young lady! By 1911 she's a niece.  But the surname makes it so difficult to track (Jones/Williams?). If Woodford and Ada had been "walking out" together for 3 years in 1904, she's not in the timeframe. But dates, time spans can be so suspect.

I think Annie is definitely the daughter of Alice. Woodford’s child with Ada remains unknown as do any real details on Ada except for the fact she was probably under 21 in 1904 and was living in Andrew Street.

From the newspaper reports on Alice’s daughter we know she was born on the 18 Jun 1899. This corresponds to the Annie in 1939 that softly softly reported. Thus she must be the Annie reported as Niece with her grandparents in 1911, presumably trying to disguise the fact that she was an illegitimate grandaughter rather than Niece.

Annie Williams was born 18 Jun 1899 at Tanybank, daughter of Alice Williams, reported by Martha Davies of Llwyncrwn. Confirming further the 1939 register and the newspaper record.

What is confusing is finding the correct marriage. The only possible one I can find is a William H Williams to an Annie M Williams in Carmarthen in 1920. In 1921 this couple are in Oak Villa Apartments, Pontyates with their first born Megan V Williams age 6 months born Llangynderyn. William is age 22yr 2m of Llangynderyn (therefore born around 1899) and Annie is 22 of Llanelly. There is an Annie Margarette Williams birth also registered in Jun Qtr 1899 in Llanelly. Checking, she was born 07 Apr 1899 at Myrtle Hill Pembrey, parents David Williams and Ann Davies. Therefore, this must be a different pairing from the previously reported 1939 register family. If so, where is the marriage of William H Williams (11 Apr 1899) and Annie (18 Jun 1899)?

As coincidental as it may seem my only thought is that William H Williams married Annie Margarette Williams first and then married Annie Williams later?
