Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for blood relatives of Pvt Charles Frederick Webb. Irish Guards - died 20/12/1917 - buried Yew Tree Roman Catholic Cemetery. Service No :- 5744

Private 5744 Irish Guards, 3rd Reserve Bn. Attested on 20 October 1914 and served with the British Expeditionary Force in France from 1 May 1915 to 8 July 1915. Discharged on 16 August 1915 due to pulmonary tuberculosis aggravated by military service at Le Havre. The son of Charles and Annie Webb, he was a retired police officer of 2 Thorburn Street, Liverpool. Died at home from pulmonary tuberculosis, age 23. Accepted for commemoration as war dead on 23 February 2024, following research by In From the Cold Project.  (source find a grave)

CWGC are in the process of producing a headstone to mark the grave of Pvt Webb.

Annie Webb / died 1st June 1933 aged 68 years - also Charles Webb, - died 19. December 1917 aged 23 years.

Annie Webb was the mother of Charles.
