Ok, so you are familiar with the process, but have you continued it post Pro Tools? You will get much bigger clusters, and can make more sense of them.

Yes, I have no doubt that'll be the case, and if it was for me, that's the direction I would go immediately. As it's for my friend, and the main aim being to determine who her dad is. I'm currently using it to break a few walls. Maybe over Xmas I might get more time to broaden things out.

Do continue to bear in mind that whilst your friend’s Father is unknown in their matches there are very likely to be many who maybe are in a similar position.

Many will simply not know that their family line is not their biological line and what is documented is inaccurate.

A Great Grandmother’s Father is unknown and yet despite researching over 100 DNA matches I am still no nearer finding the likely Father.  So far clusters have been of no help, yes they can help but it is not necessarily the case in all situations.
