RAF Yelahanka India WW2
« on: Thursday 27 November 25 10:11 GMT (UK) »
My Dad was based here for a while in ‘43/‘44. I wonder if anyone could tell me what sort of facilities there would have been for the men at that time or at any other of the Indian RAF bases, eg. Sleeping quarters, mess huts etc.
Any information regarding this may be useful.
Many thanks PtE

Note - you have to scroll to the right. There's a short description of the camp - refers to draught beer being available so couldn't have been all that bad.

Thank you both, that has given me an insight as to what the station was like, so now I have just got to work out why there is a photo of my Dad cooking his tucker in a jungle!
Cheers PtE
