From my previous research years back I have 5 children
John Palmer b.1832 Longton
William Turner Palmer b.1833 Longton
Henry Palmer b.1835 Hanley
Frederick b.1837 Hanley m. Ellen Johnson
Martin Charles b.1838.  m. to either Ellen Chivers or Mary Turner??

Your Probate information looks interesting and yes we both have the same date of death. Would you be able to send me all that information as it is cut off on the RH side. I am hoping to read just what it says about his parents.

Still trying to find a link of William to Humphrey but I now strongly believe William's parents to be John and Elizabeth.

When William marries Sarah Turner in 1831 one of the witnesses is a Mary Palmer. (Believe a sister to William). She appears in 1851 census (also with Goddards in 1841 who are living next door to the 2 John Palmers as per previous post)

John H Goddard   Son 31 Exporter of china earthenware   Longton, Staffordshire
Mary Ann Goddard Daughter 22 - b Longton, Staffordshire
William Goddard Son 19 Training for a civil engineer b Longton, Staffordshire
Sarah Goddard Daughter 17 - b Longton, Staffordshire
Emma Goddard Daughter 15 b Longton, Staffordshire
Mary Palmer Sister-in-law Unmarried 53 - b Longton, Staffordshire

Eliza Goddard is nee' Palmer (believe a sister to both William & Mary. Eliza married Thomas Goddard 1817 and Mary Palmer was a witness to this marriage as well.

Mary Palmer baptisn 6.5.1798 Hanley parents John & Elizabeth.
