Australian wedding photo dating

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could help date this photo. It is supposedly of the groom James Torney on his wedding day.

We are trying to work out which James it is most likely to be.

Thinking sometime from 1880 til 1940

the little we can see 1890's-early 1900's.

I'd put it later 1900 to 1910

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

I'm going with Jim's assessment - because of the shirt collar and tie arrangement.

As has been said - hard to see without full phoo.

If James is standing beside his bride, it might be easier to give a more accurate date based on her clothing. The backdrop might also help with dating?
