it will be interesting!

I will check at the German passenger lists next week when I am at "Genie" as it does have a record of an Ernst arriving with in 1854.

For now, I have changed my Ernst in my database as "Fostered"

and I still haven't worked out how "Friedrich" comes to South Australia by all accounts  and marries here before his wife's death!

Again

Thanks for taking the time to look at this little family!

I can't find an immigration for "Friedrich"  and for his son Ernst (Ernest) from his first marriage ... there is a immgration in 1853 for an Ernst  born Wandsbek, Holstein aged 8 except this child arrives comes with his Father and Mother
Departure Date   18 Nov 1853 (18 Nov. 1853)
Departure Place   Hamburg, Deutschland (Germany)

Any help would be appreciated!

Is it not possible that the child Ernest is their nephew not son?

There is a 1865 Naturalisation certificate digitised for Ludwig Heinrich Engal WIESE.
A cooper.
Aged 54. Has been in Australia 11 years.
Born Wandsteck, Holstein.

There are newspaper sightings for L H WIESE, a cooper,  to 1872 in South Australia.

I do not see any after this in 1872.
I do not speak German, but it is perhaps a goodbye and thank you to friends as he and his wife are leaving
