St Dunstans in the West Workhouse records
« on: Monday 24 November 25 14:08 GMT (UK) »

I'm looking for the infirmary records for St Dunstans in the West (probably known as St Andrews Undershaft I think) - for Jan-Feb 1806.  Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Thank you.

I'm afraid there aren't any registers of individuals in the parish workhouse of St Dunstan in the West at that date.

There is a Workhouse Committee Minute book, 1799-1809, at the London Archives (P69/DUN2/B/065/MS12016), but I believe it contains chiefly administrative records. For further information on its contents you could ask the archive:

(St Andrew Undershaft is a different and unrelated parish, some distance away.)

Thank you for that Bookbox.  It's interesting that the Workhouse website said St Andrews WAS the workhouse for St Dunstans but the link came up blank while G**gle said there was no workhouse at all.  Thank you anyway.

I think you may have misunderstood the information in the box at the top of the page. It simply shows how the entries on the various City workhouses have been split alphabetically across four pages of the Workhouses website. The parishes between St Andrew Undershaft and St Dunstan in the West are all on the same page.
