TNA Parking
« on: Yesterday at 15:56 »
I'm off to Kew next week. First time in ages.
Can someone update me on the parking situation please?
Still first come, first served I assume. Are there still pay machines inside (or is everything of the dreaded apps?)
If yes to the machines, is that coins and notes, card, either?
Thanks in advance

From TNA website:
Quote
Car

If you are arriving or departing by car or taxi, please note that our sat nav postcode is TW9 4AD and that access is via Bessant Drive.

We charge a fee to park in our visitor car park, which is payable on site at the end of your visit (the pay points can be found inside our building):

    Up to two hours: £2.50
    Up to four hours: £4.50
    Over four hours: £7.00

Charges apply to all visitor parking except for ‘Blue Badge’ holders, who will continue to be able to park without charge in designated parking bays. (The ‘Blue Badge’ scheme helps you park closer to your destination if you’re disabled: find out more).

Please note that The National Archives is located within the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).

Yes, I'd read that.
It implies first-come-first-served, as it was before, but just wanted to check.
Last time I was there, IIRC the machines were coins. But more and more parking seems to be going to card or app only ( ::)) so I wanted to check I could still pay with real money (or at worst, card)

It's cashless parking - you can pay by card.
