I need help with discovering why Robert Packer's father was Sir Richard Thomas Baker who married Thomasine Westwood. What caused the name change. I know it's a long shot but any help would be great.

When Robert Packer of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire was christened on 2 May 1590, in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, his father, #Sir Richard Thomas Baker, was 26 and his mother, #Thomasin Westwood, was 26. He married Anne Moscall in 1618, in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 23 April 1648, at the age of 57, and was buried in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.
