18 Jul 1866 John Blakiston Hind (of Heworth, full age, bachelor, forgeman, son of James Hind, forgeman) married Mary Gallon (of Felling, full age, spinster, daughter of Edward Gallon, paper manufacturer)

The paper manufactory at Felling Shore on the 1856/1862 OS 6 inch map:

According to The Lost Mills by Jean V Stirk, a mill at Felling Shore was probably established as early as c1750.  After various mishaps (fires)...

Erected by Thomas GALLON Felling Shore to the memory of Mary his mother who died Feb 9 1838 aged 65 years
Edward his grandson died July 13 1846 aged 4 years
James his son died December 21 1846 aged 35 years
John son of the above died July 25 1847 aged 18 years
Esther wife of Edward GALLON died April 16th 1850 aged 47 years
Margaret EMMERSON daughter of the above died March 28th 1853 aged 36 years
Thomas second son of Edward and Esther GALLON died July 7th 1862 aged 24 years
Simon GALLON eldest son of the above Edward and Esther GALLON who died Octr 29th 1863 aged 27 years

This Edward is highly likely to have been another son of Edward and Esther, born and died in between census years so never appeared on a census return with his parents
