Personal records category "COMPLEXION"  Sambo, Sallow, Swarthy, Fresh, Florid, Red, Ruddy: subjective judgement ??

Was any formal guidance offered at the time, to those completing this category of a record?
Is COMPLEXION still recorded?
Can there be a more accurate way of describing a human skin? Even colour photos are widely variable over time and processing.
Is DNA a suitable replacement when attempting to identify a casualty rather than the variable skin colouration?
Many thanks for your views!

Is there a date for this because the first word is really offensive, much used I know many years ago ,hopefully no longer.

The t in complextion seems strange ,I only know complexion .
When I put the t in it is underlined as an error.
Is that spelling in what you are quoting ?

Viktoria,

a useful article covering the wide variability within each person's skin over time and exposure.
