Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for blood relatives of Corporal Thomas George Bradshaw - died 13/11/1918 - aged 19 years - Royal Air Force - buried Kingsthorpe Cemetery. Northampton. Service No 54100

Death Date   13 Nov 1918    Dromore, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland
Cemetery   Kingsthorpe Cemetery.

The private memorial marking the grave of Thomas George Bradshaw does not provide adequate commemoration, CWGC are in the process of producing a new headstone.

Bio written on find a grave -

Son of Henry Bradshaw and Harriett Bradshaw, formerly Wright, of Kingsthorpe, Northampton.

He enlisted on 15 January 1917.
Appointed a Mechanic on 1 April 1918
Promoted to Corporal on 1 September 1918

105 Squadron was based at Omagh, Co. Tyrone.
It then flew R.E. 8 bi-planes, that were substantially involved in Anti-Submarine and reconnaissance patrols in the North Atlantic.
Two aircraft were involved in a mid-air collision.
One was piloted by Second Lieutenant James Murdoch Wilson, with Corporal Thomas George Bradshaw as Observer/Navigator/Gunner.
The other was piloted by Second Lieutenant Lawrence Howard Booth, with Air Mechanic (2nd Class) Robert Gaudie as Observer/Navigator/Gunner
The only survivor was Gaudie

Death.
Thomas George Bradshaw, aged 19 years, 10.5 months, a Corporal, Royal Air Force, died on 13 November 1918, at Lisaneden, Dromore [near Omagh], Co. Tyrone.
The cause of death was "Shock caused by the crashing of an aeroplane, Shock, partial cremation from burning aeroplane, certified".

The aircraft crashed at Lisaneden, killing
Lieutenant Lawrence Howard Booth
Lieutenant James Murdock Wilson
Corporal Thomas George Bradshaw
Booth was killed outright, Wilson and Bradshaw died of their injuries, including fire
Their deaths were registered on 22 November 1918, by Sergeant Thomas McGowan, of The Royal Irish Constabulary, Dromore.

Thomas's father Henry Thomas died in 02 December 1915. Thomas parents were buried in the same plot with him at Kingsthorpe Cemetery. Sandy

Fred Bradshaw 1901-1956 married Gladys Harriet Wingrove, 1902-1975 in 1924. Sons Fred Thomas, 1924-2002 & Roy George, 1926-1930. A 3rd son born 1930 could still be alive.

Added The 3rd son married in 1952 & had 4 children between 1954 & 1959

Daisy Ellen's story is a bit sad. She marries Gladstone Townley in 1925, gives birth to daughter, Pamela in 1927. Both Pamela & Gladstone die the same year.
