Sorry I missed your replies for some reason.
CWGC need to have a strong link to blood relatives/genetic links, such as a sibling, niece, nephew, or cousin not distant relatives. They also need the relative to contact them, rather than CWGC make the contact. Data protection laws changed a few years ago.
It is amazing how many ancestry trees expand and expand and turn out not to be a near relative at all.
