Head William M. Runnicles, b. Looks like Eton, Photographer (Master) was living with family at 2 Brunswick Tce. New Windsor in 1881.

Mary was a General Domestic servant. May be of interest to me as has the same surname as the maiden name one of my ancestors. If anybody could help me resolve this with more info on any of the above I would be much obliged.

1881 Census --- Mary J Vickers born circa 1866, Clewer Berkshire

A Mary Jane Vickers was baptised at Clewer on the 20th August 1865, father was William Vickers and mother was Mary.

A check on the birth registrations finds a Mary Jane Vickers, birth registered Quarter 2, 1865. Mother's maiden name Marshall.

That Mary Jane was baptised on 20th August 1865 at Clewer, Berkshire, her father William was a labourer, and William and Mary were living at Clewer New Town.

Using FreeBMD and the variant spelling of Runicles, his wife appears to be Sophia Gibson and the couple married in Eton RD in 1864.

A number of the children also appear in the indexes as Runicles, so check both.
