Oh dear, this will be tough to fathom out.

Hello bucksboy,

Thank you so much for the Vickers marriage and others from Hardwick cum Weedon.

Edward Vickers and Mary Vickers ( they must be related somewhere along the line) not so much a shotgun marriage, their daughter Mary was born 1801 and not bap until 1804 the year her parents were married.

Just one more question, in the marriage records it doesn't say Edward Vickers son of...........nor Elizabeth Vickers dau of...........?I'm sure you would have said if it had.

Thank you so much, one question answered another dozen to sort out!!!!

Best wishes

Marriage records in that era were nothing like after 1837, as they were never registered with G.R.O.

Just the Parish details that I sent you. That's all there would be in the original Church recording of it.

Edward and Elizabeth maybe Cousins, you have will have to see if the fathers are brothers, or cousins themselves.  Don't assume anything until you can prove it.

The Vickers link, could go back many more generations.

Hi

I have today come across a print out from Ancestry which I did way back in 2006. It gives Vickers from Whitechurch, Little Horwood, Oving, Stewkley, Drayton Parslow leading down to Vickers of Aston Abbots and Hardwick. If this is the same family who eventually lived in Aston Abbots and Hardwick, who knows?  I shall have plenty of sorting through this lot.
I thank you for your information.
Best wishes and thanks again.

You would be better off by getting info from BucksFHS. At least they had humans transcribing, and enter whatever details are in there, as Ancestry hardly ever does.

Ancestry are pretty poor for Bucks transcripts.  They will only give you what they have covered.

Bucksboy

Thanks for that.  I am a member of Bucks FHS so will ask them to do a search for me, they will do 2 hours a year for members.

F.M.P are a lot better then Ancestry.

I paid for one months subs, and went full blast for that month, then cancelled my subs. It was well worth it, as you get far more for your money, like newspapers, etc.
