How long do I have to wait for moderator approval?

Hi

I posted a post on the photo restoration part on Tuesday and since then it has waiting for moderator approval.  Anyone know how long I have to wait and is that new?  I’ve been on Rootschat since the beginning and never needed approval before?

It probably depends on how busy they are elsewhere.
As for why you now need approval, I haven't been here since the beginning and haven't posted too many images, but I always needed approval when I did. I just assumed it was to prevent people posting inappropriate material.

I've had it take several days, four or perhaps even five.

The odd thing is, that photos can be posted on any other board without prior approval.  Has anyone ever seen a photo removed by a moderator because it was in some way improper?  I've never had a photo questioned by a moderator for any reason, and I've posted hundreds.

Kerryb, you have probably noticed that the moderator for the photo restoration forum is Sarah. She is always busy and so I don't think it would hurt to pm her just in case your post has slipped under the radar. I've always found her really helpful. With your long association with RootsChat you will know how  well she and Tristan run the show.
