Hi Jeff, and welcome to Rootschat.

Your query is just a bit vague. Scott is a very common surname indeed; 9th commonest in Scotland in 1990, when the Registrar General published a booklet Personal Names in Scotland.

Also, in the 17th century there are huge gaps in the records, especially in rural areas.

If you could be a bit more specific in the names, dates and parishes of the people you are looking for, we might be able to help.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Out of interest there are 30 Scott birth records for Midlothian between 1640 & 1650 on Scotlands People.
