Just one more week to go if I have worked it out correctly.
October 9 th the pacemaker was put in place ,so :-
October 9th - 16th- 23rd- 30th-6th Nov -13th—20th .

Phone call from gardener today just to say the transfer I made yesterday in payment for his work, had all gone through .

An old fashioned tea this evening, good old meat and potato pie with bright green tinned peas .
Years since I ate those.

Got my Covid and flu jabs organised ,two different places !

Foul weather  and no T,V signal, - might be the aerial ,the wind is fierce .

Alarm system service and check today ,all O.K.

Well , hope all are safe,I know some are not very well so hope you are at least comfy and warm.

Cheerio folks, thanks for your kind interest .
Viktoria.

Thanks LM, more 'myself' now  :) occasionally one of those annoying tickles in throat making me cough but thankfully not a 'chesty' virus  :)

You're on track then Viktoria  :) stay well ...

Have also caught up with the 'proper' image of the photo Jeff, lovely and a treasure.
No idea what makes the images 'stretch' at times, have had it happen with a very few of my 'umpteen' TOT photos I've posted over the years  ???

Glad you are somewhat better mare , those tickles are annoying

Do you have to use eye drops? I find mine really do cause tickles .
Trusopt  for dry eyes several times a day and Zimed to keep pressure low.
 Little crumbs do too.
I take a drink and gargle ,it often does the trick .
Best regards . Viktoria.

Cheers Viktoria, no not on any prescribed medication. Husband has combigan drops twice daily for his glaucoma, I will be going to a 'glaucoma meet' with him this afternoon, Monday. He's been to a few here and there, often at hospitals or libraries and I don't usually go.
Today it's back at a retirement village in Warkworth just about half an hour north of us where it was held a couple of months back. Unsure about a speaker this time, I went that time as there was a speaker attending with guide dogs and we had the guide dog training centre quite close to our previous home south of the city. One of the residents asked where we lived as she had a sister who also lived quite near there. Coincidentally her 90 year old sister was someone I knew very well, as did our family and paths crossing various ways  :D She and her young family moved into a new home down the road from us when I was still at school, my home town which has grown so much since and still growing since we left two years ago. Also her eldest daughter owns a house in our current street in our beach area north of the city and another happy coincidence  :)

* A quick ps to that, I did think the resident reminded me of someone  :P sisters a little similar and to their mother who I had also met a few times which surprised her too ...

Lovely morning, expecting a visitor in an hour or so ... new week ... again!

Mare - couldn’t help but respond to your post regarding Warkworth! It was a little place we loved to visit.. especially Omaha beach. .. going back over 12 years now when our son lived south of Auckland. We used to have a coffee in a little place that looked over the river… happy memories.

Hope you’re feeling better now and enjoying life with summer coming up for all those down under!

Viktoria- you sound as if life is just getting on with itself and you’ve found it not as challenging trying not to lift your arm! How quickly the time has passed. Hope the new pace maker is having the desired results for you too.

Another weeks approaching fast and then it’s nearly December….
We’ve got our Christmas Fayre on Saturday 6th so it’s busy, busy doing lots of sewing!
Then we’ve got 20 door wreaths to make,
cakes to bake, posters to go up and raffle prizes to collect.
Once again we’ve decided to raise money for our country’s Young carers.

Hope everyone else is well and starting to get ready for Christmas!

Take care
Caroline

A little less little a decade or so on now Caroline, with urban growth creeping into the surrounding rural area, a big new shopping hub to the west and motorway now to the south with plans to extend north. Still nice though and we've always liked to stop fairly regularly to break our journey and also to visit husband's aunt for the few years she lived there, now it's closer to home we make it a destination occasionally from Orewa ... which has also sprawled massively, though we're in the older suburbia close to the beach. Very summery today but a strong offshore breeze, so can hear the sea and could see the breakers as we came home.

A glimpse of unchanged Warkworth today, entrance to park alongside river ...

Thanks Caw ,yes it has passed quickly ,after Thursday I can get back to normal arm movements.
Waiting to get to hospital for a check up, at the Heart Failure Clinic this morning ,it was made over the phone and as yet no written confirmation so I might get turned away !
Oh well it will be a ride out!

The above was yesterday ,now today -Tuesday.
Had my Covid at the local Chemist who also did the Flu one !
So have cancelled tomorrow’s ‘Flu at our Health Centre .
Waiting for Hotpoint to come re my oven .12-30 to  6.

Such a dark miserable day with teeming rain . Someone - a non resident -has parked their car in such a way that so it is easy for them to get out they have taken two places ,parked in the middle.
They live in the next avenue too!

Well on Friday I can lift my arm as much as I like!
The six weeks have gone quickly I must say .

Hope those unwell are alright , keeping cosy and remembering to drink plenty!

Baby Lily is one now, I have asked my grand daughter to set up a little account for her which I will pay into each month as I do with Flash Harry and Kyra ,they can buy what they would wish to have got from me for B/ days etc.
It starts them saving and in a way budgeting .Money for postage and presents goes to them.

Well oven man has been,we will see if the oven is any better. I need two oven thermometers the same ,I have several but all different makes.
Shouldn’t make a difference but——-

What a dark ,wet, cold day .Truly miserable .

Look after yourselves folks .
Cheerio.Viktoria.

Take it easy to start with on your arm swinging Viktoria- it is so easy to just forget the trauma which your body has gone through and you don't want to have to go through it all again just for the sake of a few "easy swings". Not preaching- just saying like! rj

There's nothing wrong with being mediocre...as long as you're good at it!

Thanks for the glimpse of Warkworth Mare… like everywhere else more houses, more people .. I like to remember what places use to be,I’ve and am often disappointed when returning!
My OH’s dream is to live by the sea … we live in the middle of the country so unless we move he’ll have to dream! We’ve probably left it too late now as we’ve been in this area for 50+ yrs now.

Glad to hear you’ll be back to normal by the end of the week Viktoria but as Jeff says probably best not to get too much arm swinging in for a while though!

Cold day here today first of the year but started off with clear skies but by the end of the afternoon cloudy and wet!

Take care all and wrap up warm.
