Elsie Doris Chandler born 28 Jan 1915 Teddington
« on: Tuesday 11 November 25 11:56 GMT (UK) »
Elsie was a daughter of Solomon J Chandler 1875-1948 and Lavinia Rosanna Hannah Hicks 1877-1966 they had 13 children, Elsie seems to have married Henry Joseph Williams (1915-1988)  Q2 1934 Staines with whom she had 4 children. A tree on Ancestry claims that she then married Frederick William Rogers (1912-1979) Q1 1945 Surrey North Eastern and seems to have 8 children with him? Elsie died Apr 2003 Crawley, Sussex.
I find this rather confusing and wonder what you think?

What was her surname when she died - Williams or Rogers?

Easy enough to check the remarriage.  Buy the 1945 marriage cert to check her marital status & fathers name?

DIVORCE DECREE
In the Divorce Court on Tuesday Mr. Justice Hodson heard the petition of Mr. Henry Joseph Williams now a sergeant in the Forces, with a home address at Staines Road, East Bedfont, for a decree nisi against his wife, Elsie Doris, on the ground of her adultery with the co-respondent, Frederick William Rogers.–The suit was not defended.

Petitioner's case was that the marriage, which took place in 1934, was fairly happy at first, but later his wife began to neglect the home and stayed out late at night. After the birth of their second child he left his wife. She obtained a maintenance order against him which was discharged in 1938. Later, in consequence of enquiries, he filed his petition.–After evidence in support of the charge of adultery, his lordship granted a decree nisi

Thank you very much Comberton and AlanBoyd, I guess then that she had only 2 children with Henry snd the rest with Frederick.
