Hannah Redman death
« on: Tuesday 11 November 25 11:32 GMT (UK) »
After many years of looking for confirmation of the death of Hannah Redman formerly Brockhurst, unconfirmed dob 1775.death around 1802. And getting a lot of false info from other trees, which I took as true with no proof. I  decided to go through all my records to see if I had missed anything and I had .

I have now made a small hole in my brick wall, with help from a fellow rootschatter.

Her uncle Benjamin Knight left a will in 1804 and left monies to her 4 children stating they  were children of his late niece Hannah Redman. So from this info she died before 1804 which makes 1802 death possible. Sadly I still can’t find any death records. Hannah’s parents were William Brockhurst and Hannah Knight.

In my previous searches I stupidly kept looking for a Hannah Brockhurst not Redman.  I have also realised I have done similar when looking for another female death.

Any information on death and then Knight family be gratefully received.

Redman, Jupp, Brockhurst of West Sussex
Moore County Down. Redman of Posey, Indiana, USA Emigrated 1820

The only death I can find on FreeREG for a Hannah Redman is ST Swithin, Kirklington, Nottinghamshire. 6th June 1804 Burial. Was her uncle's death later this year?
Regards.

Will proved 1806 so presumably uncle died that year. Will written 24 Aug 1804. Maybe uncle changed his will then because he heard Hannah had died.
Need to find when her husband Edward Redman remarried

mentions uncle's will

Yes that’s my post but this is a different search.

Yes but it gives details of how to find the will so that other people stop wasting time doing the search again if they don't know about the previous post

There are two Hannah Redmans baptised in Kirklington who might be her. I haven't checked any Mr Redmans who might have married a Hannah. So i don.t think it's the one we're after
