Benjamin Armstrong born Mansfield Query

Benjamin Armstrong was born in Mansfield in about 1824, possibly baptised Nov 1826.  He wed a Jemima Dodsley. I think Benjamin's  father was named William, probably from Nottinghamshire. Does anyone know William's birthplace & year? I'm keen to find their pre-Nottinghamshire roots.

I have to go out now but I noticed on Anc family trees that a marriage to Jemima Dodsley in 1853 lists his father William as a Stonemason and in 1841 a William Armstong b 1805 listed as Stone Mason is living in Mansfield with family.  In 1851 still there listed as Stone Sawyer??

1841 living near to William/Sarah and children is a BENJAMIN Armstrong Ag Lab age 65 (c 1776)

So very likely his Father.

Bob There were stone quarries in Mansfield  for hundreds of years.

I see in 1841 they were living on Chesterfield Road, there was a quarry there, it was behind the Pheasant Inn ( I used to play in it as a child. )
