« on: Thursday 06 November 25 14:10 GMT (UK) »
Hi all . I have hit a brick wall reg my 1st Cousin 1 x rem Barbara Parry born 1938 in Birkenhead Cheshire .. I would like to see if she had any family herself?. Hve looked on the Ancestry site , to no avail . Barbara's father  was Charles Parry born 1909 in Seacombe cheshire . There may be a story behind my Cousin , who knows. I appreciate any support here and thank you .

Are you sure she has passed away? Rootschat has a "no living person" policy
Having said that, there is someone who might fit showing on the 1939 register.
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

From the 1939 register it would appear that she is now deceased but that she had an additional surname.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

People who show on 1939 reg are not necessarily deceased. I found a very much alive acquaintance of mine showing a few weeks ago.

have looked on the GRO website?

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/login.asp
You have to register - but that is free, and searches are also free.
There is only a charge if you want to order a certificate

Her middle name was Croasdale and there was a Barbara Croasdale who died in 2014. Although her surname was Stratford, her birth is given as 1938.

If the same person, she must have remarried, but I can't find a record under the new surname given in 1939. There was a Barbara Croasdale Parry who married in Chester in 1973.
