Simply because....
Trying to ask about DNA connections between Little Frank, his mother,, her subsequent chlldren  and other children of Frederick.
I was unsure how far you have delved here.

That's okay. I am also thinking on similar lines.
There are all sorts of cousins and half cousins on this side.
As I have said before there is one DNA line from 7 people that aren't on Mabel's side. At least three are connected to the Murray family. The others to each other.
And a day ago I believe there is a connection from this Murray line back to a part of Mabel's family.   Endogamy again.

Lots to try to piece together.

Hi Everyone.
I have been on holiday ...well at least from this search.  My GT Grandmother [English] is also a mystery and I had to go back over things again owing to a new name being connected - right or wrong , I needed to work out.

So I was just rereading the last post.

As this group of 7 is a DNA Cluster and it's totally isolated from all of the other match individuals I would believe that all 7 are related and all 7 should connect to the Murray family. So retracing this is my next move in the hope that this proves correct.

Let you all know what I find.
Essnell.

Hi  Everyone,
Holiday wasn't much of a holiday. More mysteries and puzzles uncovered.

Now this cluster;

Two are related as brother and sister

A third is related to both of those as a cousin.

Another is related as Aunt of another but I have not found out how and I have not found out how these two relate to the first three.

The sister mentioned above is also related to persons from another line. She is also related to the Murray family line as her Gt Grandparents are known.

Everyone is in either Swan Hill or Balranald.  All  of this is DNA based .

Also somewhere it was suggested I try to communicate with some community members from this area.
Yesterday I tried to find information on the Aboriginal Burial area at Balranald. I ended up emailing the appropriate custodians of the site through the land council.
I am asking if there is anyway to find out about burials there.  We shall see how this works out.

Otherwise I think some contact with these matches may be in order.

Cheers Essnell.

Hi , just to keep everyone in the loop.....

So far nothing back from the Balranald Land Council.    it is only a week but... email should be relatively quick.

As to the cluster I am fleshing out pedigree lines with siblings etc.  It is interesting as I am seeing more connections to Frank's mother through the marriages of the forebears of the matches. So at least some sort of DNA connections.  In one case I have two sisters married to two brothers. That's really interesting re cousins etc.

However, It has also highlighted the fact that there are so few connection back to Frederick directly.  Incidentally he is Francis Frederick Murray.   I have got him on a different persons  data.
Still looking at that.   however,  the info agrees with what has already been discussed here re his life.

Still hunting
Essnell.

Hi ,

My delving into this cluster has given some further connections.  This is not directly to Francis Frederick.
However it is making connections to a couple of families, "Kirby" as mentioned above, Moore as well. Plus some Smiths.

the DNA matches I have had to search out to build family trees. Some are very interesting and since all are from the match list to S-I-L I am on the right trail for further connection .

One part actually connecte to Kirby and Arden.  I need to get a better grip on that before anything else.

Essnell.

Hi,

Have you tried asking your son-in-law to upload his DNA test results to GEDMatch? It is free and has a number of Ancestor projects, including one for people with Australian Aboriginal ancestry.

You can search for the Ancestor Projects in GEDMatch through the ‘Free Tools’ option. Your SIL (or you if he has given permission for you to manage his DNA) would need to apply to join the GEdmatch group once his DNA is added to the GEdmatch database. There is an accompanying private Facebook group where people can share their results.

Hi Gittalonglittledoggy,

Lately things gave stalled a bit.  I have a question re GEDmatch.  I have an Ancestry account with pro tools.
I just gooled GEDMatch and found that it is connected to Ancestry ...well it looks like it.

Can I access the ancestor projects from  my account or could I do so from a GEDmatch account of my own?
I am quite interested to see if this has anything to offer on extending this search.

Hi everyone,

in the last couple of days i have again been looking at finding a Kirby Moore connection. I came across a person on Ancestry with very interesting information on there but not enough to answer my quandry. So I have contacted them.

They have been very helpful and I think I might just find the link I need. We are both using DNA to assist.  There is definitely a Moore / Kirby connection here.

there are others in their family who know more about who did what and when and hopefuly they can add to this search.

let you know what transpires.  It's great to find someone alive and willing to assist within the family.
